We are excited to announce that the next instalment of the Striving for Excellence business event will be held in the Mackenzie Suite at the AK Bell Library in Perth this November! These events are bursting with opportunities for growth, fun and information from inspirational speakers and are always a hit with members and non-members alike!
This November, join us for lunch and hear from the wonderful Karen Reid, CEO of Perth Council.
Karen Reid was appointed as the Chief Executive of Perth and Kinross Council on 01 September 2018.
Prior to this, she held the post of Chief Executive of the Care Inspectorate and during 2017, she also provided interim Chief Executive leadership of Education Scotland, and led both organisations.
She is one of Scotland’s foremost leaders in public sector design, delivery, scrutiny and improvement and is committed to improving outcomes for people and communities. Karen is qualified in accountancy and communications /public relations and has formal certification in international regulation and mediation.
Karen is a member of the University Court at the University of Dundee, Chair of the University Audit Committee, member of the Academic Health Science Partnership, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
