Perth based independent marketing agency Volpa has secured its position as one of Scotland’s leading independent communications agencies by achieving the Communications Management Standard (CMS), awarded by the industry’s professional body the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) for companies which demonstrate operational excellence.

The industry standard benchmark, which has been achieved by only three other agencies in Scotland and is valid for a period of two years, combines elements of ‘ISO9001′ and ‘Investors in People’ with criteria specific to a communications consultancy. Consultancies are scored on nine core areas including leadership and communication, business planning, business improvement, financial management and systems, campaign management, client satisfaction, new business, people management and diversity.

To achieve the accreditation an audit was taken at Volpa proving systems were in place to ensure the effective planning and measurement of all programme work in the agency, that staff understood the agency’s commitment to programme measurement and that clients and colleagues had been made aware of Volpa’s programme approach.

Tricia Fox, CEO of Volpa, commented: “We’re delighted to have achieved this accreditation. It’s a great acknowledgement of the fact we have a well-run business with all the correct systems and structures in place and is a clear demonstration to the team that we are dedicated to their professional development. It also shows our absolute commitment to delivering PR excellence for our clients. I’m incredibly proud of the team for all their hard work which has brought us to this point. We have ambitious plans to grow the company and we see this as a key milestone in the process.”

Volpa is an integrated marketing agency boasting dedicated strategy, publicity, creative and digital departments. Volpa has experienced incredible success since it was founded by Tricia Fox in 2002. It has received a number of awards over the years, including three times winner of the Scottish Event Award for Best Marketing Strategy. This year Tricia participated in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses scale up course aimed at supporting and developing high growth businesses in the UK.
