| Suzanne will be telling us of Perth & Kinross Council's plans to celebrate 2010 which is the 800th anniversary of Perth being granted Royal Burgh status by King William the Lion of Scotland. The Council will deliver a year long programme of events and activities that will mark and celebrate this anniversary, the objectives of which are to:
- Engage local communities and encourage civic pride and awareness.
- Stimulate economic growth through tourism.
- Enhance the national and international profile of Perth & Kinross.
- Create a foundation for Perth to bid for formal city status in 2012.
