Miller Hendry is in strong voice for Horsecross Arts partnership deal
Miller Hendry, solicitors and estate agents, has today announced a commercial partnership with Horsecross Arts in a deal that will see the Perth legal practice profiled as a leading sponsor of the arts organisation.
As a long standing member of the Perthshire community, Miller Hendry are excited to be collaborating with Horsecross Arts whose cultural programme attracts artists and audiences from around the globe. Miller Hendry will be supporting Perth Piano Sundays, a series of piano concerts by some of the world’s finest players on a Sunday afternoon and Horsecross Voices, the ever popular fun and informal singing group for adults.
To mark the partnership, Miller Hendry’s Chairman John Thom and Louisa Evans, Head of Development of Horsecross Arts, officially welcomed the firm’s support, announcing this new partnership at the spectacular 10th anniversary celebrations held in Perth Concert Hall at the weekend.
John Thom, Chairman of Miller Hendry, said:
“Miller Hendry is very proud to be sponsoring Horsecross Arts in 2015-16 and to be getting involved with two fabulous and diverse programmes such as Horsecross Voices and Perth Piano Sundays. With more than 200,000 customers passing through their doors every year, many of them local customers, their venues are at the very heart of the community in Perth and it is a real privilege to be supporting their artistic endeavours.”
“As a local business, it is important to us to be able to put our support behind organisations that create opportunities in our local area. We are all looking forward to an exciting year working with them.”
Louisa Evans, Head of Development of Horsecross Arts, commented:
“As a registered charity, we depend on the support of companies like Miller Hendry, as well government bodies, trusts and foundations, communities and individuals to continue providing audiences with a diverse and popular programme of performances and events and also so we can provide communities with a wide variety of inclusive education and outreach work. The local community is at the heart of what we do at Horsecross and it is mutually beneficial to be able to work closely with local companies like Miller Hendry. We are also very pleased that Arts & Business Scotland has got behind this exciting venture with additional financial support from their match funding scheme. This scheme provides a real incentive for businesses to sponsor the arts in Scotland and we are extremely grateful for this extra support.”
