Christmas has arrived at Glendoick!

Glendoick is stuffed to the gunnels with everything you might need for Christmas: local, artisan decorations, baubles & tinsel galore, fairy lights to delight, seasonal & unusual ornaments, spectacular artificial trees (the real ones come at the beginning of December), charity cards, spicy candles, original tableware, delicious gourmet food…

Our Christmas themes this year are tartan, blue & white, forest fauna and, of course, traditional.

For a glimpse of the treats in store, have a look at this Youtube video.

Glendoick opened its newly extended gift shop in 2011 but in 2014, Jane Cox took over the buying and much has changed. It’s no exaggeration to say you could find something for everyone on your Christmas list.

For him: sporting outdoor jackets, interesting & trad hats, walking sticks, unusual books as well as gardening gifts and trivia.

For her: we now selection of giftsstock a good range of women’s clothing, scarves galore, gorgeous
handbags (my favourite buying spree), wallets, hats….and a great collection of stand out jewellery at shockingly affordable prices.

For the kids: Behind our real life Tardis, there’s Dr Who stuff, Airfix, jigsaws etc. We pride ourselves on educational and the more traditional gifts (i.e. no plastic tat). This year, we bought 3 nearly life-size animatronic polar bears (mum, dad & baby) and there’s a competition to give them names.

For granny, auntie, and all those harder-to-buy for rellies, there’s the food hall brimming with gourmet goodies, our bookshop with great ideas for presents, and our new Home Department overflowing with cushions, rugs, weird and wonderful doorstops, clocks, vases, and much more. Oh, and I forgot our classy candle department, our new card & stationery department, extensive range of artificial flowers, pamper products and our classy retro stock….
